No Offence Marigold
Well done to all those involved in the performances of The Offence and Marigold Mews. By the end of Saturday night everyone must have been feeling very satisfied at the way things had gone. The audiences were great but probably will never know the amount of hard work that went into the entire production. Congratulations to you all!
Friday 11 th November at 7.30
We are now looking forward to enjoying the video. J is working hard to complete the editing in time for our meeting on the 11 th . We plan to make the evening very informal with snacks being paid for out of our subs money. All we ask is that CADS members 'bring a bottle'.
Christmas in Clatford
Preparations have started for our Christmas in Clatford event on Monday 19 th December at 6.30. We are having 2 singing and reading rehearsal sessions on Friday 2 nd December and Friday 9 th December - same time (7.30) same place (Village Club). Ann George has been persuaded to give us a bit of help with our singing, Suzanne has agreed to come and play the piano and we may have a couple of trumpeters featuring at some point. This should start Christmas with a bang!
CADS Christmas Dinner - Friday 16 th December from 7.15
At the request of members we have done away with the traditional Christmas dinner and asked the Oak for an alternative. The Oak have offered to do a buffet style meal as opposed to the traditional Christmas menu and more information on this will be forthcoming.
On Friday we will circulate a list to collect names of members and their partners/guests wishing to partake - we may also be inviting some of our helpers. The cost of the evening will probably be £20 per head (the same as last year) - which includes gratuities but not drinks!
Next Year
We start the new year with our AGM on Friday 6 th January. An agenda will be drawn up in the near future and will include: Apologies, Minutes of last AGM, Chairman's Report, Treasurer's Report, Election of Officers (Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Committee Members); Membership Subscriptions, Donation to Charity, Capital Expenditure; Next Performance in June; Workshops; Theatre Trips; etc. If there is an item you would like added to the agenda please let Ann know.
