Clatford Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS) was founded in the October 2000 after the success of our first venture onto the stage as part of the Village Millennium Pageant - ably assisted by The Forest Forge Theatre Company. Our aim is to perform shows, revues, sketches, plays, readings, panto, etc for the local community. We hold regular Friday night meetings many, of course, are rehearsal nights. Before we start rehearsing for a specific performance we use the meetings to help us learn and develop the skills necessary and build our confidence to perform. We were not short of ideas and our evenings include readings, singing, theatre trips, speakers and workshops. Acting, performing, singing and musical ability are not the only talents needed in a group such as ours. There are also the 'behind the scenes' skills necessary for jobs on scenery, props, lighting, sound, costumes and make up. We have many other helpers that can be called upon for 'front of house' activities ranging from selling tickets to preparing and serving food! So the group welcomes a whole range of people - if you wish to join us or become associated with us please email and we will make a note of your name and keep you in touch with future activities . |
Who Goes There - a success! |
